About me

My name is Daniel Amcha, I am a native Czech. I have been in close contact with the English language since I was a child - my mother still works as an English teacher and translator of both fiction and non-ficion books. Thanks to my background I learned English from an early age. Later I gained additional language experience while traveling and staying abroad (3 months in Canada, 8 months in New Zealand). I studied International Politics and Anglo-American Studies (including courses for translators and interpreters) at the University of Economics in Prague (Faculty of International Relations). I have been working as a freelance translator since 1998. In addition to my regular translation work both for end customers and for translation agencies from all over the world, I have also translated over 30 books.

I am VAT registered in the Czech Republic.
